December 2019 Principal's round-up

Christmas at Manor School is a time for community. There have been a number of brilliant events that have made us so proud of how students, staff and community have all come together at this festive period.

We had a wonderful shared event hosted by our superb COPE students as part of their studies. We welcomed our friends from the local branches of the Royal British Legion to a musical festive celebration. The second part of the event saw the awarding of our first Going for Gold and School Colours awards to the students who had gained most points by demonstrating our school REACH values. I was delighted that so many parents and carers could join us in celebration. Congratulations to all the winners and our musicians – we are very proud of you all.

The COPE students also organised our Christmas hampers with contributions from all tutor groups. I’d like to thank our school community for being so generous and the Raunds Food Bank were delighted to distribute our multiple hampers.

The students were responsible for buying and preparing the food, as well as hosting both bingo and a music quiz. Some of our young musicians from across the school were also involved as they put on a performance of festive music.
