Following the record results in GCSE outcomes last year, students at Manor School in Northamptonshire have continued to shine in their KS4 results this year. Successful students are delighted to receive recognition for their hard work.
The results today follow the major achievements of the school’s successful sixth form students last week.
Results show a consistent improvement over three years, a clear result of the stability of leadership and staffing at our school.
We are particularly pleased with the attainment of students in English, where the proportion of students gaining standard and strong passes has increased from last year’s impressive results.
We are particularly proud of Kamran, who received 8 grades 9s, 1 grade 8 and a grade 7; Brooke (2 grade 9s, 5 grade 8s and 2 grade 7s); Eleanor (3 grade 9s and six grade 8s); Holly (3 grade 9s, a Level 2 Distinction * and 3 grade 8s), and Leon (grade 9s in Maths and Further Maths).
This year, although there is no national measure of progress following the impact of COVID19, we are delighted with the progress made by students in their time at Manor. Recognition goes to Oscar T, Jashmithan S, Amelie S, Aidan R and Hyriana B who performed amazingly well, in exceeding their target grades across the range of qualifications taken.
Adam Crawte, Principal at Manor School, said: “We are extremely proud of the results achieved by our students and congratulate them all on their individual successes. Everyone has worked incredibly hard to secure such strong exam results, which are testament to the tireless commitment demonstrated by our students, dedicated school staff and the wider support provided by the school community including pupils’ parents and carers. I am particularly pleased, after a challenging year, to have been able to provide stability for students to achieve these fantastic results.”
Matt Coleman, Interim CEO at Nene Education Trust, said: “We are proud of the exam success achieved by all our students and congratulate them on the grades they have worked so hard to achieve. Well done to all Year 11 students who have had one of the most disrupted secondary school educational journeys from September 2020 to now.
“This set of results demonstrates the continued impact that the changes of leadership at the school has had as well as the additional investment into developing teachers through our ongoing CPD initiative.”
